Re: [Book] Kingdoms of Skyrim
Glad to hear you like it. The Hjaal are obviously heavily based on the Frisians, a good inspiration if I can say so myself. I've set up possibilities for future questlines in the area, concerning rebellions against Thian and an early outlook on ancient Atmoran culture, if we never make it to the pro...

Re: A persistent world and benefits and drawbacks of common
Holy wall of text. Some nice creative ideas in here, I can see the access to a wider range of items having its benefits in a lot of places. The clean and bright look of the poor wood furniture and exterior woodwork is something that's bothered me for ages.

Re: The Reach - City Claim: Dragonstar [berry]
I was thinking the caves would be connected to the road, so a player following the road would find them easily. Perhaps put some sign of human activity, lanterns and wares, outside the caves, showing that they are used for transport. But I see your point. Ruined bridge could be an idea. Perhaps we c...

Re: The Reach - City Claim: Dragonstar [berry]
How about a rope bridge going into the cliffsides? Both sides with short cave systems connecting to the surface of the mesa. Perhaps even to the ground as well, on one side. http://i.imgur.com/4RSEGlH.png Edit: The Direnni bridge. Besides the mesh itself not being usable for this location due to the...

Re: The Reach - City Claim: Dragonstar [berry]
It would, but I personally think it would disturb the mesa scenery and vista too much. I don't think we should have bridges between mesas, at least not the larger ones.

Re: The Reach - City Claim: Markarth [roerich]
I was planning to expand that area, but I'll see about that. I wasn't too happy with the location of the tavern either. I get what you like about this particular place. The Bear Clan banners can be ignored. They are placeholders for a Markarth banner, if we decide to make one of those. Markarth will...

Re: The Reach - City Claim: Dragonstar [berry]
flat bread and possibly other stuff that won't have use in any of the Nord towns. Just wanted to chime in and say that the flatbread was intended as a simple bread baked by (farmer and rural) Nords and Reachmen, not a Redguard import. :) To be used along with the Colovian loaf of course, and the va...

Re: Region planning: Aldkarth Lowlands brush-up
I think we should replace the farmhouses with new Redguard farm ints. 3-5 of those will be interiorized within a week, so not really a lot of extra work, and it's not like the interior department is filled right now. Dock is looking really good, and the location is perfect. I'll remind you that the ...

[Book] Kingdoms of Skyrim
Idea: A text briefly describing the various holds of Skyrim, their rulers and whether the ruler is decided hereditary or by moots. Thinly veiled pro-Thian propaganda, painting Thian's rule and rise to power in a very favourable light, and the old ways of the east as backwards and stuck in time. Divi...

Re: Region planning: Aldkarth Lowlands brush-up
I would place Fort Tiber more to the south-east, indeed closer to Old Hrol'dan. Kinda close to where it's currently placed in the exterior file. Nord settlers for one of the villages is a good solution, it could be made more obvious by adding a palisade wall around the remaining village. A counterpo...

Re: Region planning: Aldkarth Lowlands brush-up
My thoughts: - Remove Reman ruin. We could move it to the Felsundhal bank of the river, marking an old and outdated Falkreath/Colovian border. Now used as an outpost for a Karthwasten road patrol. We could put a Direnni ruin in its stead, or perhaps a barrow, The Reach currently lacking the latter. ...

Re: Stirk Extras & Seafloor Upgrades
I agree that we shouldn't clutter the seafloor with content that most players will never notice. Adding some choice treasures, shipwrecks, grottos and sunken ruins would be a good addition, if we can get the players to actually explore them, also giving them a look at the marvelous work on the seafl...

Re: Detailled and stylized region design
I agree with all your points, berry. Having an inland port village near Karthwasten would make a lot of sense, something I've thought about a few times before as well. Especially considering the status of Karthwasten as a major trading town - linking KW to the Sea of Ghosts via the Karth river shoul...

All Flags Navy remnants and such things is a great idea, or at least a number of sunken ships (military or merchant) from different ages and races (Colovian, Altmer, Redguard, Bosmer etc.) Some of them with ghosts, other with aquatic enemies. Should there be Dreugh around here?

I could be wrong, sorry. Perhaps it was just something I read elsewhere. I agree completely that Nord beliefs associate it very much with Kyne, and that they claim it is a gift from her.

A random tidbit i found laying around. I think Musp wrote this. Also, contrary to popular belief, the Thu’um may have been granted to the Nords by Kyne, but it did not originate with her. Rather, the Thu’um is a special subset of a greater power, and one of the weaker ones at that.

Most certainly, this is already looking really good! Nice tribal atmoshpere with the fences and excellent use of the shelter mesh.
If you want, you can make a dirt floor by tiling Sky_In_Floor_Rocky_Dirt_04 (downscaled to 0.5 if you want), it looks really good with a fireplace like that.

Notes on Direnni ruins
The full Direnni set has arrived, and it is awesome. Thanks to Worsas, spine_inside and Lord Berandas for their work. The Direnni dungeons and fortresses have some parallels to the Dwemer towers from vanilla. 1. they're inhabited by a long gone race of Elves (though the Direnni are still very much a...

Re: Roleplaying elements
I agree completely that we need to maintain the feel of the original game, though we can afford to improve on some aspects that vanilla included but didn't touch too much on, or used properly. Morrowind had a penchant for making the player do things that didn't necessarily advance the game, but prov...

Thanks berry, that was a terrific idea. Inspired me to work on this crossing with a raft ferry, allowing the player to cross the river without getting wet feet, as well as carrying carts, cattle and goods safely across. It has space for longships to pass by as well. [hsimg=]http://i.imgur.com/mGMOgi...

Morrowind is first and foremost a RPG, even more so than its sequels. As Worsas recently outlined in the Player Freedom thread , the open world of Morrowind where you could do anything you wanted, kill anyone you wanted (and live with the consequences) and go everywhere you wanted, was one of the ga...
