Working on some mosaics and frescoes for Imperial Cult interiors. See my concept art thread for lineart and some of the other concepts.

These are really nice. I like the fact that they aren't in the same style: it implies the existence of a lot of different artists using different tools over the centuries. I would add more snakes to the Pale Pass fresco, though. Like, twenty of them. Just packed with snakes.

That Anuad fresco is awesome. Fantastic work! (great work on the others too, but it's just sweet seeing the Anuad visualized like that).

Somebody should post these to the PT tumblr feed in an album!

Saint_Jiub, have you uploaded those wax seals anywhere? I would like to use them as bookart for some messages in Stirk.

I don't think I had until now, but here you go :) They're split up into separate dds files already: https://www.dropbox.com/s/1daiysue6zamj ... s.zip?dl=0" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I updated their overall look too to give them more depth and visual impact:

I'm not uploading this in the data files updates area because the meshes, being simple flat planes, aren't really usable in their current form- but with that said, here are the files for the chapel frescoes:

The two reman-ones could get used as large floor pieces within imperial ruins, which you could only observe in fulness from higher up.

So those of you who know me know that I'm very rarely satisfied with my work when I upload it, and I have a tendency to redo things as my design skills develop. On that note, here's some preliminary work on version 3(!) of the Anvil county flag:

[hsimg=]http://i.imgur.com/cjJYcw1.png[/hsimg]

This time around I'm going for a crisper, more refined appearance, and greater diversity in the shapes of the flags themselves - I also reworked the emblem itself - the sload head actually impaled on the business end of the trident makes, like, 1000% more sense than what I had before.

EDIT: Also made an alternate version with some more elaborate brocade/patterning - I'm partial to this one, but I was curious what other people thought.

Updated/matching skinny banner. Out of curiosity, what is the red bordered Anvil banner used for?

The red-bordered banner was supposed to be for the guardhouse in anvil to give it a simple distinction. Those banners look brilliant, almost too good for our current level of quality, but better is better, I guess.

Heh, I dunno about all that, guys, but thanks :)

For Stirk, I decided to keep the classic silhouette and look, I'll do the same for Sutch, Sarchal, and Delodiil I think to distinguish the county seats from lesser baronies.

I don't have anything to object on these. Only that we should look about deviating from the diamond theme in future architecture sets, just to avoid overdoing it. I was, infact, toying with a different kind of window for the stirk houses in between, but ditched it again, since it would have required us to patch all interior cells and it didn't feel enough like an improvement. But we could still use it for the Sutch-houses?

Yeah, something like that would definitely fit Sutch. It has this Redguard/Middle East feeling to it, so I don't think there is any better place for it than Sutch.

Oh, I agree- these windows should definitely be tied to the existing gold coast architecture.

The one you posted would be great for Sutch, I agree :) Maybe for Brina Cross, too?

Lovely! We should definitely replace some of the old tapestry textures with these. I do feel like the cutoff for the repeating texture feels somewhat random on the first two, though. They could also use an alpha layer for the edges (I remember once messing around with tapestries and simply copying the alpha from the vanilla textures over to the new ones).

Can we still keep some of the tapestry with the leaf motifs one them? They are good from a consistency point of view with vanilla and TR. Other than that, these look really nice.

I'm currently about to close in on the new PT_Data.bsa for the initial version of the new data files. It would be great, if any files you still want to have in, could be posted by tonight.
Maybe for Brina Cross, too?
Not sure if it would fit with the com houses that well. We could try. But in the end, it's probably better to leave Brina Cross alone, as many interiors have been created already and this whole patching process of existing work is already very complicated.

OK, I probably won't have time to upload these tonight, but we can sneak 'em into a later update. It's just a straight up replacer of the textures that are already in PC_Data (no plugin, etc) so integrating them should hopefully be pretty easy for you :)

Oh yeah, this was more of a proof of concept as far as the art direction was concerned. The final version will be more detailed.

These tapestries are lovely. Do you consider these purely Colovian or would they be used across Cyrodiil?

btw, have you made any progress on that Talos statue?

In my brain these are primarily Colovian, I'm sure they would find usage across the province but that was their origin in my brain. Nibenese tapestries will have more in common with those silk cloth bolts in terms of style. No real progress on the Talos statue, I kind of hit a wall with it creatively so I'm waiting for my second wind lol. Is there a pressing need for it?

I was getting frustrated with the goat, so I took a break and revisited the horses- I made a couple changes to the brown one (shifted its eyes further back so they were more like a real horse's, got rid of the painted on mane), and made a couple of real variants (as opposed to a simple recolor). We really need a bridled version as well, would it suffice to resize the Skyrim version to fit our horse?

There's no hurry, but I was thinking about making busts based on the model. It's based on this concept art, maybe it helps?
