Re: SHotN Basemap
Just a few random questions. What happened to Ivarstead? Is Nimalten just taking place of it? It seems to be in the same location. Or is the decision just not to worry about including TES V towns given the lack of Rorikstead and Shor's Stone? Also, is there a reason that the Velothi mountains don't ...

Re: Falmer
I feel like they should have some sort of special location that is equivalent to a Mecca or a Vaes Dothrak (for any Game of Thrones fans). A one of a kind unique location/temple/village that is a permanent ruin. I'm imagining something like Mesa Verde except made of ice and glaciers instead of adobe...

Re: Cartography
Everything looks better and better with each iteration. Although, I did think "Iter Mir" sounded a bit better. Sounds more ancient and mysterious. Still cool either way. Also, I've been under the assumption that all the other minor colored squares represent the locations from Oblivion (cav...

Re: Developer Roll-Call
Not sure if this is the right place to post this, but since this has sort of turned into a revitalization topic, I figured here would be good. Under the Region Planning subsection in Mod Planning, I think it would be a good idea for whoever can to start at least one thread for general brainstorming ...

Re: Developer Roll-Call
Maybe a progress post will help? Perhaps a map showing which cells of the Gold Coast exterior need to be finished? Or a comprehensive list of interiors, with those finished, unfinished, and currently in progress? Pair it with a post of what CAN be completed, such as an interior that has all the prop...

Re: Developer Roll-Call
I agree with berry and Lord Berandas. I see the best way of drumming up interest as sort of following the TR route and having a "Main" file (e.g. Stirk) and an unfinished "Preview" file (Gold Coast/Anvil). While the actual release of finished content like Stirk would be somewhat ...

Re: Show us what you're working on
You know, I had been wanting to see a map like that for my own curiosity for a while now. I had been curious about the point where the three major provinces meet up based on the shapes of the various working maps I've seen in various threads. There appears to be a fairly sizable gap where the Veloth...

Re: Regions and Settlements of High Rock
For some reason I always thought that the western coast of High Rock was called the Eltheric Coast. Of course, depending on the geography, the region can be titled something with "moor/moors" in the name as a nod to TES2. I hate the very fundamental concept of ESO, but its name for the Nor...

Re: Map Discussion
On the TES2 Daggerfall map, those yellow lines correspond to political boundaries for the various kingdoms. As I understand it, the Warp in the West erased and redrew those lines into the first map that was linked to. The loss of land and life I assume was something like the erasing of the actual ci...

Re: Architecture Planning
I updated my first post and added Nova Orsinium and Farrun as well as putting spoiler tags on the majority of the text. I also wanted to include the generalized list of settlement tiers that I was thinking of when writing those. Its far from incomplete and totally speculative and could completely ch...

Re: Architecture Planning
By all means, go for it. These posts can get quite large. If you want to make any corrections or expansions while you're at it, go ahead. The way I see it, you guys are the real modders and I'm just a lurker throwing out ideas to be accepted or discarded at a whim. I'll still probably add more citie...

Re: Architecture Planning
No worries. Thanks for the response. I edited my previous post and added Daggerfall and Camlorn. I had those done and never got around to posting them. I had also started on Shornhelm and Orsinium but I didn't get those done. Maybe I can finish those up soon. I never read any of the old forums so I ...

Re: Architecture Planning
The High Rock 427 forums feel bare and I don't know if there is a plan for anything behind the scenes. I'm just posting this because I was looking at pictures of Wayrest from Daggerfall and it got me thinking. So here it goes. Wayrest: Role: Controls the mouth of the Bjoulsae River Region: Bjoulsae ...

Re: Detailled and stylized region design
Could just call the area around Markarth and that island "Markarth Side". Keeps it ambiguous.

Re: Cartography
Thanks for all the feedback. I changed my list a bit based on the new map and information. Cleared up my confusion over Sancre Tor first of all. I figured it would be at least somewhat related to its depiction in Oblivion and the city icon threw me for a loop. You raise good points I hadn't thought ...

Re: Cartography
Hi everyone. So this is my first post for Province Cyrodiil. I have been following the forums a while and there have been various points I wanted to make but didn’t really know how to do so without just kinda… jumping into it. For that reason, I hope you don’t think I’m imposing on anything by listi...

Re: Section Maps
I have say, this looks extremely impressive. I've always loved maps. Someone at Tamriel Rebuilt created a high-res overhead picture of the entire province up to that point (even though the Deshaan and Shipal-Shin regions were nothing but brown heightmap) and I was wondering if us public forum viewer...
