Fenbru Misc. Quest Idea - The Apple of My Eye

In Fenbru, there are rumors of suspicious happenings in the farms to the east. Gabbi and her husband suspect that their Altmer neighbor, Cindie, is covering up the disappearance of her husband Klinjar. Gabbi might mention that they suspect the Altmer of dealing in profane magic and that she won't let anyone in her house since her husband's disappearance.

If the player approaches Cindie she will not admit to anything, insisting that her husband went on an errand. However, if the player breaks into her house, they will find in her bed an apple the size of a head. Periodically, and on activation, the apple will play friendly Nord male voice lines using the "talk" function. The player should be able to take and eat/lose the apple, leading to different results. (Player could get a small permament "sweet talk" buff to Speechcraft from eating the apple)

If Cindie is confronted about the big apple, she will break down and admit that she made a deal with Clavicus Vile. She was concerned that her husband had grown bitter and resentful, and asked Clavicus to make him just a little bit sweeter. Her husband vanished, and days later the apple fell from a tree in her orchard. She admits she is in over her head. The player will be led to a female Reachman in Fenbru (Mairen) well-versed in magic (flavor with Xarxes?). Mairen will give the player a special knife that the player will use to cut the apple and retrieve its seeds. Cindie will htake the seeds and knife and bury them (possibly with Mairen present to help with ritual). If the player comes back to the farm days later, Klinjar will be alive and kicking. He will reward the player with the knife, now transformed and enchanted through the ritual.
